- Swim, fish and canoe in the Suwannee River. 2 canoes are included with the cabin as well as life
jackets, pads and paddles.
- Snorkel, swim and tube in the many nearby springs. (See "Links" on this website)
- Boating (you can tie your boat up to our dock. The nearest boat launch is 5 river miles away).
- Bird watching - Bring your binoculars. Many interesting Florida water birds and birds of prey.
- Hiking along the dirt roads surrounding the cabin ( lots of cows, woods and fields)
and in nearby Oleno and Ichetucknee State Parks.
- Antiquing in High Springs, FL - 20 minutes away. This is a very quaint town for lunch
and shopping.
- Fossil hunting in the river when the water is low (many ancient sea urchins and sand dollars from the
Eocene Era).
- Day Trips to historic points of interest including Cedar Key on the West Coast at the mouth of the Suwannee,
the Gainesville Museum of Florida History and the winery in Chiefland.
